BKSNord is arranging English-language D5-course. The majority of the curriculum is published in D5 online, a complete online learning resource.
Extensive online preparations are necessary for the completion of the course. In addition to online preparations participants have to complete two one-week seminars with simulator exercises, group discussions and exams. Seminars are held in Finnsnes in Northern Norway on request. We are currently looking at seminars early autumn 2025.
Completed course can be used for obtaining the following NMD-issued certificates: Dekksoffiser kompetansesertifikat klasse 5 (D5), Dekksoffiser kompetansesertifikat klasse 6 (D6), Fiskeskippersertifikat klasse B, Fritidsskippersertifikat D5L eller Fiskeskipper sertifikat klasse C, depending on your seatime.
We are approved by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate and certified by DNV (Det Norske Veritas).
Course fee: NOK 55 000,- including exams and learning materials. Course fee is invoiced on registration.
